A huge thank you to every one of our HealEra users. We hope we reached our goal of making ‘being healthy’ more approachable, more tangible and more fun in 2024. We are personally proud of the progress we made with HealEra this year. And we have a lot more in store in 2025…

Thank you to everyone who reads this newsletter. We appreciate spreading our message and want to inspire you to think about health from different perspectives. We hope you gained some useful knowledge by allowing us passage into your inbox. We have certainly learned a ton by writing it.

Thank you to everyone who gave us a chance in 2024. Whether using or trying out the app, opening our e-mails or engaging with us on social media. To us, every single interaction is valuable. They are what make this project possible.

One thing that one always forgets in the midst of a big endeavour is to appreciate the lessons learned along the way. We certainly had our share of them this year, and we plan to have a lot more of them in 2025.

A Wish For 2025: Ask Yourself, What Does Health Mean to You?

In 2025, we encourage you to become very clear on what health means to you personally. We always hear that health is the most important thing. We commonly wish people good health on birthday cards and Christmas cards. But depending on where a person currently stands in life, health can have a plethora of different meanings.

As a kid, health means having the freedom to explore the world. Expressing oneself through movement and learning basic skills.

As a young adult, health may mean the ability to master a specific sport or instrument.

Later in life, adults often struggle with tight schedules that seemingly never let up. Health may mean carving out those two hours per week for themselves. A few minutes to engage their bodies and clear their minds.

For some, health means having the energy and resilience to pursue personal and professional goals. It’s about maintaining a balance between work, family, and self-care. This could involve prioritizing sleep, nutrition, and exercise to ensure they can meet the demands of a busy lifestyle without burning out.

Some of us also struggle with losing some of our ease of movement. Stiff joints, hurting backs, weak knees, poorer eyesight… Aging can be a physical and often mental struggle.

For many people, health means getting their head in a good place. Finding solutions to mental problems and managing all the challenges the modern world throws our way.

At a later stage in life, Health may mean being able to keep going on long walks with friends or family. Or keep enjoying the weekend playing doubles with their tennis friends. The meaning may be as simple as being able to play with your grandkids, sitting on the living room floor.

And, obviously, to a person fighting a severe illness, health means getting their life back. They would be content with just being able to do the most mundane things in the world without pain.

We firmly believe that the key to staying in a good place health-wise, physically and/or mentally, is first of all, to be aware of what is important to YOU.

Define what would make you a healthy person in your eyes, and build principles according to that vision. How do you want to apply that image to the fundamentals in 2025: Biomechanics, exercise, nutrition, and sleep?
