4 Ways to Treat and Eliminate Pain

With enough time, you can get used to almost anything. Physical pain in that regard, is no exception. Frequently, people talk about how they have given up on trying to surmount chronic issues because the process is too tedious. Medical diagnostics can take a lot of time, with tests often taking months of waiting, many times with no clear results at the end. Medication may ease problems and help dampen symptoms at first but the body adapts and makes it less effective over time. Physical therapy is another approach that is very effective at first, but the follow-up is often an afterthought, and when consistency is lost, issues present themselves anew.

Let us present 4 approaches, from quick to more time-consuming (and thereby more effective) that we’ve built into our app, to help people experience a pain-free life.

#1 Rehab Routines: Build a Short Routine Tailored to Your Needs

In our 2.0 update we introduced ‘Rehab Routines‘, an easy way to build a small program tailored to your needs. In the ‘Heal’ tab locate the pain on the body graphic. At the top of the list you will find the option to build a routine. On the next screen, choose between Release, Mobility and Strength (or mix and match the three). Exercises will be provided for each selected goal. Press ‘Start’, and you are on your way, with exercises specifically effective for the pain location in question.

#2 Myofascial Release Training: The All-in-One Approach to Pain Relief

For a more complete solution, navigate to the ‘Training’ tab and locate either the ‘Rehab’ programs (for recovering from a specific issue or injury) or the ‘MFR’ programs. The exercises in these trainings are curated to treat a larger area of the body. Using them once per week can greatly ease pain, restore mobility, and improve posture.

#3 Exercise Collections: Your Personal Go-To Routines

While exploring different exercises you may find personal favourites that are either very effective or really fun to execute. In HealEra you have the ability to create and maintain personal collections. Save the exercises you like most to assemble your go-to routine. You can start a training session straight from the collection screen.

A more advanced option is to use collections in context of your physical therapy. Save the exercises your physio recommends and develop your routine with an expert at hand. You can also share collections directly with other HealEra users.

#4 Get Precise: Explore Individual Exercises and Treat with Precision

Although the most time-consuming, this last recommendation may also be the most effective, both physically and mentally. When choosing a pain location in the ‘Heal’ tab, you’ll find lists of exercises for our three fundamental pillars: Release, Mobility and Strength. These lists are ordered from the most important exercise for that specific area to the least important. Work yourself through these exercises to find those that effectively treat your pain. Each activity includes instructions, origins, related diseases, and information about the specific function of the selected body part. Dive as deep as you wish into this knowledge to learn more about your specific case and find the the routines that suit you.

Bonus Tip: Leverage search to find what you need

We have built a search function into the ‘Heal’ tab that scans all our release exercises for the term you feed it. If you are looking for a specific ailment, here is where you find fitting exercises.
